Homer Rader's annual wagon train left his home at Columbiana Farm near
Paris, Kentucky on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 headed for Danny Crawford's farm near Hillsboro, Kentucky. The plan was to cover the 55+ miles
in three days and to arrive in time for Danny's scheduled weekend wagon ride. Your photographer was confused on the starting date for this
wagon train and didn't join the group until the 2nd day of the ride. There were only three wagons on the first day. In addition to me, the
group was joined by a fourth wagon for the Thursday portion of the ride. However, at the end of day 2, one of the teams was stressed and
they went home leaving only three wagons again on Friday. Overall, the weather was not bad with reasonable temperatures and only one short
rain shower on Thursday afternoon. After stopping at the historic Sherburne, Ky. store for lunch on Friday, we arrived at Danny's just in
time to get set up before a late afternoon shower. Photos from Thursday and Friday can be viewed using the link below.
